XRP Whales Keep Buying the Dip as Ether Shows Deeper Capitulation

CryptoQuant said large XRP spot orders suggest quiet accumulation rather than a breakout, while ether’s price below realized value points to deeper capitulation and the strongest valuation case among BTC, ETH and XRP.

Large XRP spot orders are pointing to what CryptoQuant described as quiet accumulation, even as the market offers no clear sign of a breakout, according to CoinDesk. The firm’s read on trading behavior suggests bigger players may be stepping in on weakness rather than chasing momentum, but the signal is tentative and does not by itself define the next move in price.

At the same time, ether is showing a more stressed valuation backdrop. With ETH trading below realized value, holders are sitting underwater on average, a condition that often reflects deeper capitulation than simple sideways consolidation. Among bitcoin, ether and XRP, that framework gives ETH the strongest valuation case, though the data still only speaks to positioning and cost basis, not timing.

The contrast is notable. XRP appears to be seeing patient buying interest in spot markets, while ether’s pricing suggests a broader reset in holder sentiment. Those are different forms of market behavior and can persist for some time without resolving into a sharp trend. For now, the takeaway is less about a definitive bullish or bearish call and more about where stress and accumulation are showing up across major assets.

CryptoQuant’s interpretation also underscores how narrow some market signals can be. Large orders may indicate conviction, but they can also reflect inventory management, hedging, or simply opportunistic buying during weakness. Likewise, a price below realized value may improve the relative valuation picture for ETH, yet it does not guarantee an immediate rebound.

The broader comparison among BTC, ETH and XRP suggests a market still sorting through different stages of correction and holder behavior. XRP’s buying pattern looks comparatively constructive, but subdued. Ether’s setup looks more washed out, which may appeal to valuation-focused observers, but it also confirms the extent of recent pressure on holders.

As with any market signal, the context matters. Liquidity, broader risk appetite and follow-through in spot trading will determine whether these patterns develop into a sustained trend or fade as the market digests the latest move.
